It would be impossible for EFF-CoP missing from Food Fraud Conference in Berlin.

EFF-CoP partners gathered again, together, from different EU countries, to promote and present EFF-CoP to the conference's attendees and also to learn more and to update their knowledge in Food Fraud!

First Day, 5th of November

On the 5th of November, the day that the conference was beginning, EFF-CoP organised a well prepared workshop, as a Food Fraud Conference side event, 9:00-12:00 Berlin time, entitled “The State of the Art and the Main Challenges”. The event welcomed everyone who wanted not only to meet us and enjoy our community 💬 but also to learn about the practices that can help defend against food fraud 🥫🔍. The attendees worked in groups 👥, discussed the gaps in the food chain 🌍, identified the stakeholders who need to cooperate to fight food fraud 💪, and explored what EFF-CoP must do to achieve its goals 🎯.

After the workshop all the attendees went straight ahead to take their registration and watch the conference.

Second Day, 6th of November

During the second day of the Food Fraud Conference, attendees had the opportunity to participate in a joint workshop between EFF-CoP and the Watson Project, where the audience split into two teams. 🤝

🎯 Our goal? To identify the impact of climate change, geopolitics, and economics on food fraud over the next 10 years. The insights gathered will help define future research needs to strengthen food fraud prevention within EFF-CoP. 🔍🌱

Later, the audience had the chance to learn more about EFF-CoP, as its coordinator, Saskia van Routh, presented the network to a wide audience engaged in food fraud topics. 👩‍🏫✨

🎉 What’s new? The announcement of the FOOD FRAUD FESTIVAL, which will take place in Dublin, on 27–28 May 2026! 🇮🇪📅 SAVE THE DATE on your calendar!

As EFF-CoP’s coordinator mentioned in her presentation, “The best is yet to come!” 🌟 Stay tuned - our consortium is very active, and many exciting EFF-Events are being prepared just for you! 🎉🙌
