EFF-CoP was honoured to be part of the inaugural Non-Targeted Analysis of Food and Flavours (NAFF) Symposium, held at the Royal Society of Chemistry in their historic London library. The event marked an important moment for the field, bringing together experts to discuss innovation, analytical techniques and the future of food authenticity research.

Prof. Saskia van Ruth delivered the invited talk “Smelling Deception in Our Food Supply,” highlighting the role of non-targeted and other high-dimensional data in safeguarding food authenticity. Her presentation covered a wide range of approaches - from analytical techniques to methods for assessing personal integrity, ethical business culture, vulnerability analysis and social network mapping - demonstrating how diverse data sources can reveal critical points within the food supply chain.

She concluded by introducing EFF-CoP and inviting participants to connect with the community - encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange moving forward.
