EFF-CoP’s Aims and Objectives

Main aim: The EFF-CoP project aims to establish, expand, and mobilise the European Food Fraud Community of Practice (EFF-CoP) fostering interconnectivity between Research and Innovation (R&I) and end-users to maximise the efficiency and efforts to combat food fraud in the EU. The specific objectives are:

Establish a multi-actor thematic network that encompasses all stakeholders in the food fraud domain, other related networks, and related EU project initiatives by creating the EFF-CoP, a CoP specifically designed for evolution, vitality, and sustainability.

Incorporate the R&I needs of end-users through foresight exercises within the EFF-CoP and develop a targeted and shared future food fraud research agenda.

Enhance information flow, interactions, and collaboration among the EFF-CoP members by an interactive collaborative space with which the emerged learning community will have access to all research, innovation, documents, training courses, and events through the EFF-Hub – the EFF-CoP virtual headquarters.

Provide the EFF-CoP with a comprehensive array of current R&I resources

by gathering existing knowledge, practices, procedures, systems, methods, and technologies suitable for prevention and detection of food fraud including cost-benefit aspects.

Equip the EFF-CoP with new practical resources, communication materials, Good Practice Recommendations including a Comité Européen de Normalisation (CEN) Workshop Agreement, factsheets, and case study reports.

Share knowledge, innovations, and good practices among the EFF-CoP members through training courses, living labs, and other dynamic events.

Sustain EFF-CoP including EFF-Hub for the future through the design for evolution and a professional exploitation strategy and business plan.
